MAKING VALENTINE’S DAY MEANINGFUL
It is an annual phenomenon that as Valentine’s Day approaches, the price of red roses and other “Valentine’s Day gifts” increases. Restaurants are fully booked with the inevitable price implication.
We’ve all heard the phrase “love me love my dog”. Movies such as “Marley and Me” or “Must Love Dogs” put out the same message that people and animals go together.
So why not celebrate Valentine’s Day with a gift to animals in need from your own loved ones – or in the name of a loved one? The N
SPCA is suggesting that a donation in the name of your Valentine can be made to us and can be acknowledged as a gift in that person’s name. Value for money and making Valentine’s Day meaningful.
To extend this concept why not indulge your four-legged loved ones with a gift in the same manner: - a donation in your pet’s name?
The focus of Valentine’s Day is love and undoubtedly animals who have now left us come to mind. An idea which may be comforting yet meaningful is to make a donation in loving memory of a pet name of a pet.
Make Valentine’s Day meaningful.
